Ingredients:
- 2 C Steel Cut Oats, dry (also known as Irish oats)
- 2 C Apples, chopped
- 1 C Cranberries, dried, sweetened (craisins)
- 3 C Water
- 1 C Low fat milk
- 1 Tbls Cinnamon, ground
- 1 tsp Pumpkin Pie spice
- 2 tsp Margarine
- 1/2 C Almonds, sliced (optional)
- 1/2 C Pecans (optional)
Directions:
- Grease slow cooker with margarine.
- Add ingredients to slow cooker, except for nuts. Stir to mix and cover.
- Set slow cooker to “warm” and cook for approximately 10 hours.
- Serve topped with nuts, sweetener of choice (maple syrup is yummy!) and additional milk, if desired.
