A hearty soup, made in a slow cooker.

Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz pkg dry split peas
  • 1 cup baby carrots, coarsely chopped
  • 1 medium white onion, coarsely chopped
  • 3 whole bay leaves, or 1 tsp. crumbled
  • 10 oz turkey ham, cubed
  • 4 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 7 cups water

Directions:

  1. Rinse peas before cooking.
  2. Add all ingredients to a slow cooker and cook overnight on low, or during the day while your at work.
  3. Seven cups of water will make a pretty thick soup.
  4. Eight cups makes a thinner soup.
