A hearty soup, made in a slow cooker.
Number of Servings: 8
Ingredients:
- 16 oz pkg dry split peas
- 1 cup baby carrots, coarsely chopped
- 1 medium white onion, coarsely chopped
- 3 whole bay leaves, or 1 tsp. crumbled
- 10 oz turkey ham, cubed
- 4 chicken bouillon cubes
- 7 cups water
Directions:
- Rinse peas before cooking.
- Add all ingredients to a slow cooker and cook overnight on low, or during the day while your at work.
- Seven cups of water will make a pretty thick soup.
- Eight cups makes a thinner soup.
